On MP1, the Recipe Card, I lost points due to technical errors such as fixing the leading, following the grid, tracking, and kerning. Technically, I did miss the mark on a few points. The kerning needed a slight change in the main headline. I overlooked the tracking a lot, and when I went back to fix it, I change all of the technical issues. I went back and fixed my original grids so that they fit the content better, as well. There were no image quality issues. There was a lack of hierarchy throughout directions and ingredients. The ingredients should have been a lot bigger than the directions.
On MP2, the type poster, I lost points due to the process book, technical issues, and the concept, design and composition. I liked my grid usage in this, but I was advised to change it to a three column grid. When I went back to try to make it into a three column grid, it didn't look very good at all, so I kept the four column grid. Technically, the line breaks and returns, as well as space after needed to be fixed. There were no image quality issues. I think overall, my poster had a good sense of hierarchy. There were variations of sizes and colors to guide the eye all around the poster.
On MP3, the Museum poster, I lost points due to the process book and technical issues. I followed the grid well, even creating the background image tailored towards the two column grid. My text also fit well into the grid. There were no image quality issues. I think overall, my poster had a strong sense of hierarchy. There were variations of sizes and colors to guide the eye all around the poster. The main background image draws the eye in, while his art guides the eye all around and to the similarly colored text.
